Pat graduated from The University of Illinois at Chicago in 1994 with a B.S. in Physical Therapy. She then worked at The University of Illinois Hospital and The University of Chicago Hospital, specializing in orthopedics and sports medicine. Her areas of interest and specialty include the rehabilitation of overuse and sports injuries; specifically, musculoskeletal injuries and pain syndromes resulting from postural dysfunction, abnormal joint mechanics, muscle imbalance, and inefficient movement patterns. She is STOTT PILATES® certified in Matwork, Reformer and ICCB, and is an instructor trainor in the STOTT PILATES Rehabiliation series. Pat is also certified in the Graston Technique for soft tissue mobilization. |

Michelle graduated with her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Northwestern University in 2007. She has specialized in outpatient orthopedic therapy since the start of her carreer. In her first position at Athletico, she treated a wide variety of post surgical, orthopedic, and sports-medicine patients. Her special interests include the spine and shoulder. She is currently enrolled in the STOTT PILATES Rehabilitation series and recently completed her first course, "Spinal, Pelvic and Scapular Stabilization: Matwork and Reformer." |

Renato Hess earned a Master of Science degree with an emphasis on Physical Therapy in 2001 from the University of Central Arkansas. For nearly a decade, Hess has had hands-on experience treating patients with musculoskeletal dysfunction, sports-related injuries, chronic pain, cervicogenic headaches, multiple sclerosis (MS), vestibular dysfunction, post-op orthopedic surgeries, fibromyalgia, complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS) and home-health care issues. Hess has also researched the McKenzie Method (a comprehensive approach to treating spinal issues) and was clinically trained in its techniques as a student. Prior to Andersonville Physical Therapy, Hess worked at the Rehab Institute of Chicago in the pain management center, renowned for its interdisciplinary approach to treating chronic pain for gaining function and quality of life. Spanish-speaking patients can feel comfortable with Hess’s ability to obtain a proper history and run physical therapy sessions entirely in Spanish without an interpreter. |
