Letter from the Editor: March 2010
Hi all,
I know it seems like we just sent a newsletter, but I have to get an extra one in this spring so we will be ready for the biking series in May. Did you know we have a new bike room? The next time you visit us, feel free to ride your bike and park it inside the office. Anyway, this newsletter contains the 2nd article in a 3 part series about posture, muscle function, and joint mobility, and how they all contribute to the health of your body. These articles are designed to give you a basic framework for understanding how your body works so you will be able to take a more active role in the rehab process. This article builds on last month’s posture article. It describes how the different types of muscles in our body work to protect our joints. We also wanted to let you know about the change in mat class time for 4 Saturdays this spring, which can be viewed under "Pilates Specials" on the homepage.
