Mariya Denisenko, PT, DPT

As a physical therapist, Mariya’s goal is to empower her patients to take control of their recovery process and aid them in returning to a healthy and active lifestyle. Her approach to physical therapy treatment entails looking at the big picture to identify the root cause of the injury. She strives to combine manual techniques, education and tailored exercise routines to enhance the recovery of her patients.

Mariya graduated with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Her interests lie in working with the general orthopedic population as well as specializing in pelvic floor health. As a former D1 collegiate track and field athlete, Mariya also has a special interest in working with runners.

Out of the office

In her free time, Mariya loves to cook, travel and spoil her dog, Wrigley. Although the Chicago weather doesn’t always make it easy to spend time outdoors, she likes to take every opportunity she gets to stroll around the lake.
